So I've been reading about home chargers. Looks like I will need either a dedicated 40 or 50 amp circuit depending on my charger choice. My daughter is eyeing up a Fiat 500E as a purchase sometime next year so I guess I should get the 50 amp charger for future use. The former owner of our home had a hot tub with a 50 amp circuit. We don't have a hot tub, but the hot tub panel is still on the side of the house only about 15 feet from where we park(no garage, will need outdoor capable charger). Would an electrician be able to connect this sub panel to a charger fairly easily? I'm not sure if it is GFCI but assume that would be a minor change if needed.

Easy it may be, but I suspect the electricians in my area have a "plug in car tax". Quotes from 2 different EVSE installers were $900 and $1000 to run the cable and put in an outlet. I have a local electrician stopping by for a quote later today, he has been told I need an outlet for my in-laws RV when they are visiting.
