Front Bumper probes

My front bumper probes are on unless I speed up above 10 mph. This is annoying because now the rear probes are not functional during backup because the alarms are on in the front. Anyone had this problem or how can you replace the probe covers ?

Proximity sensors? I've never heard them called probes.

Why do you think the rear ones are not on? It is certainly super annoying and distracting when the front sensors are yelling about the bush in front of me while I'm backing up, but that doesn't mean the rear ones are turned off. I've had them trigger a number of times in busy parking lots.

I agree that the way they function is annoying. Distracts me from the task at hand (backing up), in order to brake and glance at the display, only to find the red zones in front of the car.

Reminds me of the third-party sensor system added to my Clarity PHEV. When changing lanes (using the indicator) to the right (for example), if there was a vehicle to the left, I got an audible and visual warning, and vice-versa. Seemingly, it's left vs right logic was an "OR" function. Again...annoying.

I'm guessing Grimdog70 meant one or more of their front sensors is constantly triggering (indicating that it things something is near it). Saying they are "on" was confusing, because the sensors being "on" would tend to mean that they are monitoring, not that they have reporting the detection of something. Like saying the car is "on" means that it's moving but when stopped at a light it is not "on", which is going to cause confusion.

So, it sounds like you've discovered that the front sensors stop their function at and above 10 mph, and it sounds like that was discovered by having at least one sensor constantly triggering. Does this happen all the time everywhere, or just in a place where there really is something (which seems unlikely if you've figured out that they don't sense above 10 mph, so if there really were something I guess you'd have to drive through it to find out)? What does the screen tell you about which sensor it is and how far away it thinks something is? (Left, center, or right? Which color is indicated? Do these indications change at all?) Those details will probably lead you to which sensor is defective, or if there is a broader problem in the system.

If the failure isn't caused by damage, then it seems like a good thing to let the warranty take care of solving.

Hope this helps.
