i believe the sunroof is included in the Limited trim in US, right?
is this feature something that i can opt out of, since
i'm not convinced that i really want this.
in other cars in the past, i just never really used except in an old
Saab which had a hard sliding window.

if you have one, please let me know how you like or do not like about it.
thank you...

Hi Ghiasee - I've owned my 2022 LTD sine March 2022. It has the sunshade and it's possible to close it with an electrical toggle switch on the ceiling of the car. I leave mine open almost constantly. However, when my wife drives the car, she immediately closes it. It seems to actually have a fairly dark tint. I've never been bothered by the light from the shade. I don't think it's an option on the LTD...it's just standard.

My wife is the fan of sunroofs, but her use case is specific. When parking in the sun she will crack it open by tilting up the rear, then close the shade except for a few inches at the front. Then she cracks all the side windows open, which sets up a flow of outside air into the cabin and out the sunroof to keep the interior cool. It's actually rather effective.

What I don't like about the Ioniq 6's sunroof is that all functions happen from one multi-use switch, and you can't close the shade part way. It's all the way open or closed. That kills some of the cooling effect by adding solar gain. Hyundai could fix it my allowing the shade to stop when you release the button.

And yes, I know you can precondition the interior. But that requires remembering to do it at the right time, and burning some kWh to do it. I guess I'll get better a remembering it when I get used to having the option.

Sure would be nice if they had a way to suggest software changes. Just think of the PR boost the brand would get if they became known to be responsive to users' needs....
