Why not play around with the official Hyundai configurator to see what is included in the Premium and Ultimate versions, or what can be selected with each. I think that the main difference is that you can only include the tech pack with the ultimate version. Heat pump available as an extra in both. I have the Ultimate with heat pump and tech pack so I would obviously recommend that model but if the budget is tight the heat pump could be deducted without too much being lost in comfort. However, I would definitely miss the tech pack. So much extra tech for so little per month cost.

A heat pump is a great benefit if the car has a limited range, but starts to become less important with a 77kWh Ioniq 5 with a range between 250 and 300 miles depending on weather and temperature. Losing a few miles is hardly noticed unless on a long road trip with plans to run below 10%. Using a resistive heater or AC unit will use more power than a heat pump, and cost more to refill the battery. But as the price of a heat pump can add ÂŁ1000 to the car purchase price you can buy a lot of kWhs to run a normal heater/AC before that cost is equalled. A consideration could be that the future value of the car may recover that upfront cost, but the absence of a heat pump could also restrict future marketability.
