Hello there,

I know this moise all too well.

Took my car in for the recall battery swap, and some updates. When I got the car back, it was making the exact same noise.

Went back to the dealers', they ran some more updates and the noise was gone!

Sadly, the car is now refusing to charge at all (DC or AC), a few parts have been changed to no avail, we are now waiting until the end of august for a specific part to come up from Korea.

Their best guess is that the noise is a relay somewhere not working correctly and it fried something.

Definitely back to the dealers ASAP for you.

Not sure how it works in your country but here in France you often have better results by going over the head of the dealer and contacting Hyundai France directly, i'd try something like that the dealer insist that's normal.

Mine definitely did not think so, neither did "Hyundai technics" when my dealer contacted them for help with the issue.

Hello again,

I got my car back tomorrow out of the blue ! They received the part way earlier than expected, but I'm not complaining.

Sadly the technician in charge was off when I went to the dealers' so the only explanation I got was that they changed a "fuse box", which seems odd to me.

I will be calling on monday to talk to that guy, I want to know what happened, and why.

Anyways, car is now charging, and NOT making the noise, so again: your dealer is lying to you.
