Charging: Car vs Station

My charging station (EVduty) allows me to control my charging (on/off and duration) with my cell phone. I can do the same (and more) through my IONIQ 5 and my cell phone also. Based on your experience, which one should I use as my main charging control unit ?

Thanks !

It depends. . .

I have two locations where I perform Level 2 charging. The utilities at those locations have different pricing plans so I want to charge at different hours depending on where I am. So for me it makes sense to have the EVSE control the charging times and duration. I can just plug the car in and walk away without using any apps or fiddling with the charging options in the car.

But if you will only do your Level 2 charging at one location the I suggest you use the method that is easiest for you to use. Is the EVSE mobile app more or less easy to use than the Hyundai app?

The EVSE mobile app permits me to control when the cable is effective. When i'm away from my home, people in the back alley could ''use'' my cable. So, with the EVSE mobile app, I have control on the cable.

But there is no programming tool with this app, which is present using the car and bluelink app.
So I play with both of them since i need option from both system.
