i first purchased the lower (larger) one and was so pleased that I purchased the armrest insert. There is a slight decrease in depth because of the armrest insert taking up space - enough for me to notice that something that fit before would no longer fit in the space with the insert. But I like the rubberized mats that keep things in place. The prices are very reasonable too.
