2017 Hyundai Ioniq Tells Toyota Prius Why It Sucks ? Autoomobile

The 2017 Hyundai Ioniq tells the Toyota Prius just why it sucks and this is due to the fact that the Ioniq bats the Prius when it comes to fuel economy.

We have found out the EPA of the 2017 Toyota Ioniq for all three versions of the vehicle and these are the hybrid, the plug-in and the Ioniq Electric.
The Toyota Prius offers a lot as it gives you 50mpg when out on the highway, 54mpg when in the city and a combination of 52mpg. But the 2017 Hyundai Ioniq does one better as it offers up 54mpg on the highway, 55mpg when driving around the city and 55mpg combined. When out on the highway it beats the Prius by a significant amount.
The plug-in Blue managed to score 59 out on the highway, 57 when driving in the city and 58mpg combined. You can also get 31 miles purely on electricity with the plug-in.
The range for the Ioniq Electric may be an issue as it is 124 miles in total and it offers MPGe of 122 on the highway, 150 in the city and 136 combined. This does looks rather unimpressive when you take into account that vehicles offer in excess of 20 plus miles. On the plus side we are going to see a 200 mile range version of the Hyundai Ioniq coming in 2018.
So if you are making a comparison between the Hyundai Ioniq and the Toyota Prius, you now know which gives you more miles per gallon for your money.

On the other hand, the gen IV Prius has been for sale for many months in the US; in sharp contrast to the Ioniq which is still just a promise. That truly sucks.
