That seems bit odd.... I have drilled down through the menus too and not found anything is there a magic combination of buttons to get to an advanced settings menu I wonder.
I have the answer for you all. It’s in the sat nav settings. Just change the unit. This is the facelift system, but I’m sure it’s in the previous version.

I was searching for ages until I came across this thread.
I can confirm on my 2021 Ioniq Premium 38kWh, changing units of measure in the navigation, changes the units of measure on the speedo display.
Type2 display
go to
NAV
Settings (press the word "SETTINGS")
Display
Information
scroll to the bottom
Distance unit
Select Miles or Km.
After briefly disconnecting the negative terminal on the 12V battery, this setting appears in the instrument cluster (mine's a BEV; it might be in a different menu in the hybrid):
User Settings -> Other features -> Speedometer unit
I’ve just done the latest update and now my Speedo has gon back to km/h and the setting in the menu is not there where it was before setup general units it’s gone can anyone help me get back to mph pls Thanks danny
Had the same issue with the 211117 version, but noticed a newer version available 211214 HYUNDAI NAVIGATION MAP UPDATE > Notifications just updated and I’m back to mph without having to disconnect the battery!
I have just now updated to the latest 211214 version, and yes the speedo is now in MPH only, the speedometer units shown in the other features menu is gone, so if you want to drive on the continent or ROI to bad you've only got MPH.
further to my last post on the 211214 version, although the speedometer units choice has gone from the other features menu I have found that if you change speed - distance units on the map, navigation settings it also changes the main speedometer & mileage on the dash.
