How much has your electric bill gone up?

I live in Washington State, and our electricity is relatively inexpensive compared to some parts of the country because everything in our area comes from hydroelectric sources. I'm curious, though - what kind of jump are you all seeing to your electric bills? A friend with a 2013 Leaf tells me it's pretty inconsequential. I've not gotten a new electric bill since I got my Ioniq, so I have nothing to go on.

I can give some idea although most of our charging is done through solar power

My wife got her Outlander PHEV (9.8KW battery)in August 2017, I got my Ioniq EV this August.

Or Zappi charge log shows that weve used 1250 kWhrs for both cars. Of that mine took 160 kWhrs

We drew and paid for just just 367 kWhrs from the grid at a cost of 50

She has done 5000 miles, Ive done 700

Petrol is dear, electric is cheap, solar power is really cheap!

To charge my EV from 0% to 100% costs 2.36 if I charge during the night, or 4.73 if I charge during the day. A full 100% charge will give me circa 135 miles during the winter months, so simply multiplying your miles driven by the above costs will give you the additional cost on your fuel bill. In other words, if I drive 1000 miles per month, the total cost to charge the car at night during the winter months would be 17.46 per month. Hope this helps.......

I'm in BC and I'm running about CAN$50 per month (@$0.12/kWh) to drive about 3,500km. So while in my case I can't say it's inconsequential, but considering the number of km I'm driving per month, it's pretty bloody sweet. You could estimate your electrical costs. Here are some average stats to help you.

My average energy demand from charger (accounts for charging losses) = 13.5 kw/100km (A bit less in the summer, a bit more in the winter and assuming mostly highway driving).
My average electrical running cost = $1.68/100km (@0.12/kWh)

Hope this helps

In Quebec, it costs me about 10$ / month for 1500 km.

I thought I would see more costs, but 60% of my home charging is solar, 1/3 of my charging is done on rapids, and 1/3 seems to be at relatives / hotels. So not a lot added to my home electric bill.

Cleaned my mini-splits at the same time I bought my Ioniq, so far almost no change in my electric bill... :P I estimate about 15-20$/month according to energy usage

Tip of the day; Clean you mini-splits every 2 years.

What's a mini-split, and how do I clean it?

Mini-splits is a common word for those wall mounted air conditionner / heat pumps
What is a Mini-Split? - FUJITSU GENERAL United States & Canada

Mine has a heat pump in it (like the ioniq!) and cleaning it once in a while made it more efficient. It's been very cold up here in october, I'll see how that affect my electric bill in december.
