Patrick. I think I have an additional issue here. I have two tariffs for my electricity. The cheaper tariff [50% cheaper] is only between the following hours: 00h00 and 07h00. Hence the settings on my schedule. I think in this case, your concept may not work for me? What do you think?

I will need to correct for UK time.

What power does your charger deliver?

It delivers 7kwh. Circa 4 hours for a full 100% charge.

In that case you could set the charging window from 0000 to 1800 (or 2100) and don't plugin before 1800 (or 2100) at home.
When charging is started at midnight the car won't draw charging current in the morning because it's already fully charged. Only power for heating would be drawn (I think about 1-2kWh each time).

Patrick. Thank you again. I now fully understand the logic. Very clever. I will set the start time to: 00h00 and the finish time to 18h00. Remembering never to plug my car in at home before 18h00. I will also set my departure time for: 07h00. This will always mean that even the Pre Heating will be finished by 07h00 which is when my electricity tariff changes. Many thanks.

One final thought Patrick. My Home Charger [Zappi] has a timer function built in. Another option is to set the car to 'Charge Immediately' and set the Zappi Timer as above 00h00 to 18h00. I presume I can still set the Pre Heating in the car for 07h00 in this scenario?

I think that would do the same. My charger doesn't have a timer.
